Make sure you let your photographer know if you plan on bringing props! It’ll help them prepare better for your session.

Confetti

Try looking at the camera for one picture and looking up at the glitter for another.

Having a helping hand makes a big difference! Invite a friend to your photoshoot, and ask them to throw confetti at the same time. This helps make the picture look more populated with fun colors.

Have a game plan (like a dustpan and broom) to clean up after! Otherwise you are littering.

Champagne

Cheap champagne works great!

Shake well before popping.

When opened, place your thumb over 50% of the opening to keep pressure and produce a spray

Donuts

Quite possibly my favorite grad photo prop.

If you’re in Austin, TX, Master Donuts does custom donuts!

BUBBLES

More bubbles = more fun. Having a few friends off camera blowing bubbles or an electric bubble maker will make a difference!

Balloons

Honestly one of the harder props to work with. They’re hard to position, and even harder with the slightest breeze. If you’re in love with balloons, try going for balloons just a little bit bigger than the size of your face. They’ll look bigger in your photos (like how the “I love you so much mural” looks great and large in photos but actually looks smaller in person) and will be easier to manage.

Consider propping them up with sticks instead of string.
